25 YEAR VINYL WINDOW AND DOOR LIMITED TRANSFERRABLE WARRANTY
Effective August 2004
Subject to the following terms and conditions, Pennco, Inc. warrants it’s Vinyl Window and Patio Doors shall be free from manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for 25 years based on the following terms and conditions set forth below.
- The Vinyl Window Frame and Sash Frame shall be free from defects including blistering, peeling, flaking or rotting.
- There will be no moisture or condensation between the sealed insulated glass unit – caused by a seal failure.
- All other parts shall be free from any manufactured defects.
- Should Pennco be advised in writing that a manufactured defect has shown up within the first three (3) years of the warranty period, the buyer’s remedies will be limited to the following Pennco options. (1) Replacement of the defective part(s) of the product; (2) Replacement of the defective product. These remedies are the only remedies available for breach of warranty or any other legal theory.
- Warranty Period: For defective products or parts – 100% first 3 years, excluding labor. After the 3 year period, product or part(s) shall be warranted for the remaining 22 years based on 50% off of Pennco’s list price.
Excluded from the Pennco warranty shall be:
- Any modification of the product.
- Improper installation; e.g., window or door products not installed in accordance to Pennco’s installation instructions.
- Tinting coatings or film applied to the glass.
- Glass cracks or broken glass.
- Units subjected to strain by movement of the building.
- Minor amounts of desiccant between I. G. on aluminum spacer.
- The neglect, abuse, improper handling or storage of the product.
- Condensation on the interior or exterior surfaces of the glass or window frames.
- Units that have been exposed or cleaned with muratic acid or other substances which may attack any part of the window or door including the vinyl, glass, glass sealing compound or component parts
- Screens in windows or doors are not to be considered as prevention for anyone including children from falling out of or through a window or door.
- Labor: In no case shall Pennco be liable or responsible for the labor to remove and/or reinstall replacement product or any parts or products associated with the window or door product.
Claims Procedures:
To initiate a claim under this warranty, contact the distributor or contractor from whom you purchased the Pennco window or patio door product. If no corrective action has been taken within a reasonable time, write to: Pennco, Inc., 5601 Roberts Dr. Ashland, KY 41102. Identify the product involved, who/ where it was originally bought from; describe completely what the claim defect is, (photographs or sketches are helpful) identify yourself and those persons that have already been contacted; the phone number and address the defective product can be inspected and the phone number where you can be reached.
Warranty Parts Shipping Policy:
Upon approval of claim, it shall be Pennco’s sole discretion to ship the warranty part(s) either to the nearest Pennco dealer or direct to a job site location. Otherwise, freight and shipping charges may apply.
Warranty Period:
This warranty is made by Pennco on products manufactured on/after August 2004. All pre-2004 manufactured products are warranted based on the date the product was manufactured. Customer may request a copy of warranty from Pennco. No representative of ours has authority to change or modify this warranty in any respect.
